🟢 About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in refining our delivery pipelines, ensuring our platform remains reliable and scalable for our customers, and enhancing the overall developer experience.

You will work closely with our Lead Platform Engineer, contributing to strategic initiatives and driving operational excellence.

🟢 Your Missions

Innovate and simplify

Make informed decisions

Use strong judgment and good instincts to make decisions that benefit the platform and its users. Back your suggestions with data and trade-offs and reach consensus with hard facts rather than persuasion.

Stay curious

Keep up with new technologies, imagine how we could leverage them, and be aware of critical security issues and one-way-door decisions.

Uphold excellence

As an individual contributor, strive for the highest quality in all your work. Continuously raise the bar, ensuring that every product, service, and process meets rigorous standards. Address issues at their root to prevent recurrence and maintain a culture of excellence.

Foster trust with stakeholders through transparent and effective communication.

Develop talent

Work with talented individuals and help them grow within the organisation.

🟢 Current focus

Empower operational excellence through observability

Drive architectural transformation

Assist development teams in moving a core component, which underwent a lift-and-shift last year, from Windows/.NET/.NET Core to Linux/.NET Core/NodeJS. Facilitate the transition from a monolithic architecture to cloud-native micro-services, driving significant improvements in scalability and performance.

Advance cloud migration

Contribute to the post-migration efforts to public cloud environments using tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Ensure the infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligned with best practices to support our strategic goals.

Standardise container management

Develop a consistent approach for building, deploying, and managing containers. Ensure uniform practices across ECS/Fargate on AWS and its Azure equivalent. Kubernetes skills are highly desirable.
